The short version. We collect your email address, whether you signed up as a man or a woman, and where you live. If you create an account we also take your first name and a password.
We use it to run the waitlist, send you a confirmation, and tell you when Atlas opens. We do not sell your information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not show your details to other members before launch. Email support@atlasinternationalpassport.com at any time to see or delete what we hold.
Atlas ("Atlas", "we", "us") is a pre-launch dating and matchmaking service operated by its founders from the United States. We are the party responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Once Atlas is formally incorporated, this policy will be updated with the registered company name and address.
Questions about this policy or about your information go to support@atlasinternationalpassport.com.
| What | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | When you join the waitlist | To confirm your signup, hold your place, and tell you when we launch |
| Whether you signed up as a man or a woman | When you join the waitlist | Atlas matches American men with women abroad; this determines which experience you are offered |
| Referral code, and the code of whoever referred you | When you join the waitlist | To credit referrals and apply the rewards described on our site |
| First name | If you create an account | To address you properly |
| Country, and either your U.S. state or your city | If you create an account | To plan where we launch first and which markets to open |
| Password | If you create an account | To secure your account. Passwords are stored as a one-way hash — we cannot read yours, and neither can anyone else |
| Date and time of signup | Automatically | To order the waitlist fairly |
Our service providers may record technical information such as IP addresses in their standard security logs. We do not use that information to build a profile of you.
This site sets no cookies, runs no advertising trackers, and carries no third-party analytics. Nothing follows you to other websites. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy first.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the companies that run the service on our behalf:
Each is bound to use your information only to provide its service to us. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect the safety of our members.
Your information is stored on servers in the United States. If you are outside the United States — including in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or Latin America — the information you give us is transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection law differs from that of your own country. By joining the waitlist you consent to that transfer.
We keep waitlist entries until Atlas launches and you either become a member or tell us to remove you. If you ask us to delete your information, we do so within 30 days, apart from anything we are legally required to retain.
If you never confirm your email address, we delete the entry after twelve months.
Wherever you live, you may ask us to:
Email support@atlasinternationalpassport.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not charge you, and we will not ask why.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you also have the right to object to or restrict our processing, the right to data portability, and the right to complain to your national data protection authority. Our lawful basis for processing is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time. If you are a Virginia resident, you have equivalent rights under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, including the right to appeal a refused request.
Atlas is strictly for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a person under 18 has signed up, we delete their information immediately. If you believe a minor has given us their information, tell us at support@atlasinternationalpassport.com and we will act the same day.
Connections to this site are encrypted. Passwords are hashed and cannot be recovered by us or anyone else. Database access is restricted so that no visitor can read another person's information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take the care the information deserves — and if a breach ever affects you, we will tell you.
As Atlas moves from waitlist to a working product, this policy will change. When it changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and email everyone on the list. Continuing to use Atlas after a change means you accept the revised policy.
